Travel Insurance
All travelers must have valid travel insurance before departure. We recommend an annual travel insurance policy, as this is usually cheaper than taking out insurance for each individual trip. Contact your insurance company for a quote. Important tip: If you already have an annual travel insurance policy when you turn 70, it is usually easier to renew it after turning 70 as well. Annual travel insurance usually also covers trip cancellation due to illness before departure.
 
Deposit
The deposit is invoiced by the tour operator and serves as confirmation that your trip is booked and that your place is secured. The deposit is non-refundable.
 
The deposit is an advance payment that covers costs the tour operator incurs prior to the trip, including securing seats and hotel accommodations. These costs must be paid by the tour operator before departure.
 
If you are unable to go on your planned trip, it is your travel insurance that may cover these costs. Please contact your travel insurance company, who will handle any potential refund in accordance with your policy.

Cancellation Rules
If you have signed up for a trip but are unable to travel, there are different cancellation rules. It is important to familiarize yourself with them to avoid misunderstandings and extra costs:
 

• More than 20 days before departure: free cancellation;

• 14–19 days before departure: 50% of the trip price retained by the tour operator;

• 0–13 days before departure: full amount retained by the tour operator, and travel insurance must be used.
